I'm having the same problem. Unfortunately, there's no way within Freehand
to change the font size that displays in the panels.

Panels Size Issue

I have recently upgraded to a 20" InteI mac which is a truly sweet
machine.
I have loaded Freehand 11.0 and it works fine except the panels (document,
layer, styles, info, etc) are very small so I have to be very accurate with my
mouse to select anything in the panels.
Can I increase the size of the panels (without changing the display
resolution)? or is it something I just need to get used to?

In Windows FreeHand panels use a system bitmap font in panels, which I noticed
after deleting it. ;-)

It may well be that Mac version too can't find the right font and replace it
with another. However, I do not know if some OS9 bitmap font will do the trick
or if there is significant changes in system fonts between OS9 and OSX.

No, that won't work in Mac OS X. Applications make a call to the system for
one of the system-defined constants. In the Aqua interface the fonts are
variations of Lucida Grande. It looks like the font used for FH swatches,
styles and layers uses the 'label font' which is Lucida Grande Regular 10
point.

I tested an application called TinkerTool, but changes to system fonts sizes
didn't change the FHMX interface.

Illustrator CS3 (Mac) 'small list view' uses an even smaller font but uses a
larger color swatch and field around the text, so the item is easier to
target.
