I've been using FH since version 3 (Mac) and haven't encountered it, however
I haven't been creating web content. A quick search pulled up a few
references to that filename extension when configuring MIME types for a web
server.

FHMX only opens FH files back to .fh8. If the .fhc file is a valid FH file,
then FH8 or AI CS3 should be able to open it.
