UTM coordinates

UTM coordinates
Sun, 10 Feb 2008 17:37:06 -050
Hi everyone,

I have MapPoint 2004.

Is it possible to have coordinate information in Universal Transverse
Mercator (UTM) coordinates instead of degrees?

If this could be done, but only in MapPoint 2006, I would seriously
consider upgrading for that one feature alone.

Thank you.

Hi Gilles,

Thank you for your reply.

So, am I just out of luck in wanting to get coordinates in UTM?

MapPoint 2006 does not support UTM AFAIK.

'fraid so - you can externally convert to lat/lon of course, but the
only other coordinate format I am aware of that MapPoint supports is
British Grid in the MapPoint 2006 Europe version.

As MapPoint is programmable, maybe an AddIn exists that allows you to
do the conversion - a quick search did not turn up anything though.
