Legend and Overview

Legend and Overview

If my pushpin is saved as 7.045 the View, and I'm doing a search for it the
only way I can bring it up is by putting in the number. If I don't remember
the number and only remember the name "the View" it won't bring it up.
 How
do I search for it by name?

Thank you.

Hi Jan,

Please provide just a little more information as to what your pushpins
actually represent. Someone here may have come up with a good
naming convention for a similar schema.

First, let me thank you for getting back to me so quickly.

The number 0.076 represents a job number, after the job number I enter the
job name eg. The View., when posted to the map it represents the location of
our job. Some are marked with a different icon depending on what stage the
job is at. Our staff sometime refer to the job number, and others refer to
the job name. We are looking to be able to look up the location on the map
by both the job number and/or the job name. At present if I enter the job
number first, but want to do a search later for the job name it won't find
it, even though it's part of the name when I enter a new data set.

How can the staff look up either by number of by name without doing a
seperate map?

Thank you.

Jan

Can you specify what form? Is it an Excel form or a custom mapPoint form?

Hi Jan,

Easy enough. You'll require a form that has selections on it.
Then you'll add/remove pins on the fly based upon what is
selected upon the form.

This is fantastic for presentation of varying data in your database.
