| Mappoint 2006 - Copyright Notice on each slide |
 |

Our marketing group started using mappoint 2006. When they create a map and
put it into powerpoint a rather lengthy, obnoxous copyright notice is on
each slide. Is there a condensed version of this notice so our presentation
don't have to look like garbage? This is really ridiculace

Quoting from the EULA:
3. ADDITIONAL LICENSING REQUIREMENTS AND/OR USE RIGHTS.
a. Use of Maps.
• You may copy maps and information from maps for your internal,
noncommercial use.
• You may not delete or change any legal or copyright notices.
(...)
So I'm afraid the answer is no - newer versions of the consumer products have
a less lengthy copyright notice though, so there may be hope for MapPoint
V.Next.

Thanks for pointing out the section in the EULA, I'll forward that section
to the folks complaining, at least that will free me up from being asked to
do anything illegal. When I called Microsoft they just said we couldn't do
it, but would not provide the area in the EULA that stated that. This is
quiet helpful for documentation sake. Thanks again

Did you know:
When printing to pdf, MapPoint adds the copyright info to the bottom margin
instead of the picture itself?

So,
If the user saves his map to a PDF, he can pull it inot his powerpoint slide
and have a less "congested" look.
I'll have the user try that. Thank you
