hi all,
i am working on an application which requires a custom map to be created
that is not based on any standard template(like North America or World). Is
there a possibility to create such .ptt or .ptm files without the assistance
of any template?

Hi Sesh,
Not in MapPoint, no.
I don't understand completely, though.
Are you looking to map the mountains on Mars?

Thanx for the info....i was wondering if mappoint can be used track assets
indoors..something like tracking cars in huge multi-storied parking lots if
at all gps signals are available.

I think you're looking for something else here - GPS does not work
(reliably) indoors, and it it would, its vertical accuracy (which is
inferior to the horizontal one which can be off by a few dozen meters)
would not be sufficient to differentiate between stories.
