Migration of class server sites

Migration of class server sites
Fri, 23 Feb 2007 05:24:49 -080
Hi all

I hope some can help me. we had our SPS and Class server machine die on us
the other day. I've restored the class server data and now I'm wanting to
create the sharepoint sites again.

My problem is the back ups of the sites will not migrate/restore back due
to the site already having a templete. Is there any way I can get around
this. I used smigrate.exe to backup and trying to use it to restore.

Hope this makes sense.
Thanks in advance

Hi All again

I've got It sorted.
I've had to delete all the Class server sharepoint sites and recreate them
with a sight modification to the web part that acompanies the creation
(ClsSite.aspx) page. The templete is set to STS so I just removed this adn
then I could migrate the sites.

Cheers
