Automatically setting up Dataports

Automatically setting up Dataports
Thu, 3 Apr 2008 22:02:00 -0700
Hi All,

Currently i am trying to export information from 50 tables in navision and
hence i would require a dataport for each of the 50 tables. And in order to
do this on a few navision instances then it is a time consuming processes.

Therefore i would like to know whether there is an option to export
Dataport settings from an instance of Navision, and reuse those dataport
settings in another instance of navision.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Dear Garrick.

What is mean "Dataport settings"?

You can to transfer the FOB with all needed dataports from source DB to
several another DBs.

Hi RedFox,

first of all thanks for the reply. Secondly is that im fairly new to
navision therefore my terminology might not be entirely correct.

However what i meant by Data port setting is that if i was to create several
data ports through the GUI (if this can be done programatically please let me
know), with each one referring to different tables in Navision, how am i able
to set up the same data ports on a different instance of Navision without
running through the GUI again. i.e. importing the Data ports into navision.

thanks and regards,

There is a dataport generator available at mibuso.com which might come in
handy please look at downloads section.
