Creating Linked Mailbox Accounts in Exchange Resource Forest

Creating Linked Mailbox Accounts in Exchange Resource Forest
Fri, 22 Feb 2008 09:28:06 -080
I have an Exchange 2007 SP1 system deployed in an Active Directory Resource
Forest.

I'm looking at the ExchangeUtils.CreateMailbox functions in ILM 2007 FP1
and I do not see a version that allows me to specify the
msExchExternalAccount that is required when creating a Mailbox Enabled user
in a resource forest.

I know from a powershell perspective, the syntax is different when creating
a mailbox for a normal user and when creating a mailbox for a linked user in
a resource forest.

Can I do this using the CreateMailbox functions or do I need to write my own
MA that will perform the correct powershell for this scenario?

Does anyone have experience using the standard CreateMailbox function and
then adding the msExchangeExternalAccount attribute afterwards in an Export
Attribute Flow rule?

Thanks in advance!

I know with the GALSync solution in ILM 2007 FP1 a powershell CMDLET is used
to finalise the created contacts. The URL below sheds some light on the
issue:

Hope this helps.
