Hi All

Can anyone advise how to resolve the problem?

OS: Windows 2003 R2 Standard SP1
DB: Remote SQL version SQL 2005

I have successfully completed WSUS 3.0 installation. However, when I launch
the WSUS console, I unable to connect to WSUS server. The error I get is"
Cannot connect to 'SERVERNAME'. SQL server may not be running on the server.
Please verify that SQL Server is running and configured correctly on the
server. Contact your network administrator if the problem persists."

I have check and verify that the remote connection is enable with TCP/IP.
The account use has domain admin membership.

Please help. Thanks.

Check on event viewer to check if there are any of audit failures on the
security section.

If appears any failures related to SQL server, check on the type of
authentication that your SQL server has

I am experiencing the same issue. Did you ever discover what the fix for
this was?
