We have one site that does not get our SUS updates. They also try to get
updates from the Windows Updates site and cannot get them. Can anyone tell
what the problem is from the log I pasted below?
The tech at the site says "on my system (and others), a little symbol (kind
of a shield with black exclamation point on yellow b/g) appears in bottom
right of my toolbox prompting “Updates are available”, then when I click on
it, it tries to Install updates, and I end up with the following message
"Some updates could not be installed" as each update says
“failed”:"The icon
[for installing the updates] goes away after closing this window, but
reappears at a later date and these same five updates NEVER get
installed."
I had her check and she is listed as an administrator of the PC in User
Accounts. I have attached here the Windows Update log file which has a lot of
stuff that looks important but I don't know what the actual problem is. I had
her check in the c drive under Windows or WINNT (whichever is there) to see
if there is a log file for each update (it would be named after the update,
like KB...). She looked for but did not see any of those (which makes sense
since its not working).
If anyone could suggest anything else to check or try I would really
