Update can't be found on server

Update can't be found on server
Thu, 27 Mar 2008 15:59:54 +130
I'm trying to work out why the update KB933360 doesn't appear in the
list of updates anywhere on our new updates server. We changed updates
servers across to a different server with a clean installation of WSUS
3.0 and it first synchronised successfully on 1 January of this year.

The change specifically applying to New Zealand is a shift of the end of
Daylight Saving time from the third Sunday in March to the first Sunday
in April. PCs that do not have this update will automatically adjust the
time incorrectly the first time they are on after Sunday 16th March.

I set up an XP client from a sysprepped image yesterday and it came up
with the wrong time. After it had installed 105 updates from the updates
server it came up to the correct time without changing the time zone.

This seems to imply the update is available for XP computers but I
cannot find it in the list of updates searching by the KB number, by the
word "time" or anything else I can think of.

At the moment XP computers are all showing the correct time but Vista
computers still use the old time zone settings showing they haven't
applied the time zone patch. I know it is a different file name for
Vista PCs but I can't find out why it hasn't been synchronised by the

Hi,

By default the server only sync's critical/security updates. This is a
regular update that is "recommended" but not mandatory.

You need to go into your options of your Update and include the Updates and
Service Packs.

This won't download them. It will just list them.

Cheers,
Lara
