3.5 application on a 3.7 kernal.

Hi,

I have a custumer who have an an Xal, the enviroment is:
- xal: 3.50.1 Build 14 (Sql.db)
- Db: sql 7.0 Mdac: 6.0.6000.16386  
- Os: Vista business and Xp.

Can he on this enviroment keep the application on 3.50.1
and have the kernal in 3.7.0.199.

Can we just change the kernel in the 
Xal-application. Or is it sommething else we have to do, 
to make this work??

Hi, Björn,

I would like to hint to the statement of database compatibility, which 
tells, that Microsoft SQL Server 7 is not supported any more by the new XAL 
kernels, as Microsoft SQL Server 7 is not supported by Microsoft any more.

So you might face compatibility issues with the environment you describe. 
Microsoft will not give any guarantee, that XAL will run on this environment, 
as this environment has not been tested by Microsoft.

Also, you might find compatibility issues in forms. This is described in the 
kernel newsletter for XAL 3.50 SP5.
