| XAL - Configuration of clients (Windows XP) |

Hello,
I'm trying to get XAL (Kernel 3.7.0.174) running on clients. The
program is available on a network drive, ODBC is configured - so
actually everything is fine.
When users on a pc with Windows 2000 run the dxalw32.exe then it works
without any problem. But when users on a pc with Windows XP start
dxalw32.exe then they get a message that says the application is not
configured right and should be reinstalled.
I guess that depends on the restrictions our admin has set because
when I run dxalw32.exe on a pc with Windows XP as a user who is local
administrator of that pc then it works and that lets me think there is
no misconfiguration.
Does anybody have a suggestion for me what to do on the XP machines
the get XAL running? I made an entry in the registry for the current
user (SOFTWARE\Navision\Xal\STARTUPSIZE) but after I did that, the
error message was also displayed and I have no idea what else I could
change.
Thanks,

Hello,
Make sure that on XP and Vista PCs, folder "Microsoft.VC80.ATL" and
contents
are located in the folder where kernels are installed.

Hello and thanks for your reply.
I checked the files in the folder and there was a file
"Microsoft.VC80.ATL.manifest" missing. After copying that file I
could
start XAL.
