| SQL problems: Invalid date format / Illegal character value |
 |

Hi
In the latest past some of my customers reports that they temporary get one
of the following error messages from MS SQL:
msg: 1
Danish message: "[Microsoft] [ODBC SQL Server Driver] Ugyldigt
datoformat"
- my translation: "[Microsoft] [ODBC SQL Server Driver] Invalid date
format"
msg: 2
Danish message: "[Microsoft] [ODBC SQL Server Driver] Ugyldig tegnværdi for
angivelse af"
- my translation: "[Microsoft] [ODBC SQL Server Driver] Invalid character
value in specification of"
Some run kernel: 3.7 on XP and Vista
Some run kernel: 3.55 on XP and Vista
Is it a known problem?
How can I encircle the essence of the problem?

Hi, Ebbe,
your problem is difficult to adress, as you claim, that it is "some"
customers, which "temporarily" get the problem.
So I really wonder, whether the problem is still there, or whether it has
been resolved.
I can imagine
- changes in the setup of the Microsoft SQL Server,
- changes in the date formats of the PCs and servers involved,
- changes in the ODBC driver setup
- wrong MDAC versions
So there are plenty of places to look for, and I do not know, which of them
might resolve the issue.
Kind regards
