Nice article, since this feature, IMO, despite the inherrent, and immensely
important value, especially to systems support staff, will be a real pain point
with consumers in particular. I actually see a lot of them turning it off, and
crying wolf later when disaster strikes. It also answered my (silent) questions,
1) What happened to LUA? and 2) What happened to UAP.

Apparently this is already the case - reading about it "around" the
web about beta testers figuring out ways to turn it off beacuse of the
"inconvienence" of it. Microsoft is making an effort to eliminate
major openings and the user is working to circumvent it. And if the trend
continues they will blame MS for the vulnerabilities that they opened up.

Thanks for the feedback, I have been trying to fight this perception that we
don't need this technolgy set for some time. It would be helpful if more in the
community did the same.
Why you shouldn’t turn off UAP in Windows Vista

Most of the resistance is that things don't work the way they did before....so I
made a post with tips on running with UAC enabled.
How to succeed at running Windows Vista with UAP enabled on 5270
