Here's an article from CNET talking about a "cursor hole" security
risk that could occur when you use animated cursors with Windows XP or Windows
Vista:

Microsoft has posted a security advisory about it here:

[I'm not sure whether this was a security issue or not, but I had a huge problem
on my son's Windows XP computer after he installed animated cursors a few months
back...]

I read in eWeek that Microsoft plans to release a patch tomorrow (Tuesday, April
3, 2007).

Microsoft Jumps Schedule to Patch ANI

[Your son installed animated cursors and then had problems? Don't accuse me of
post hoc ergo propter hoc, but that's a safe bet. Those things are meretricious,
and Latin scholars know the etymology of that word. He should study the
language: Nescire autem quid antequam natus sis acciderit id est semper esse
puerum. :

Maybe this should be a PM.]

Thanks for posting this, Mike! I will pass on your cryptic phrase :) to Cameron
and give him something to think about!

[He's home from school today...with an ear infection, a sinus infection, and a
throat infection...he's such a stoic that he's been saying he's fine for four
days and now he's one big germ. If he really wants to go into medicine, imo, he
should start by learning how not to get this stuff! :)]

The threatened cloud has passed away,
And brightly shines the dawning day;
What though the night may come too soon,
We've years and years of afternoon!
   Then let the throng
   Our joy advance...

This post from Bink.nu deserves a mention: An inside look into building and
releasing MS07-017

In fact, I'd make this blog a frequent visit.
