| Fax Console on Server 2003 |

A client is using Microsoft Fax Console (ver 5.2) on a Server 2003 Standard
OS. With about 50 users in house, they're routing all faxes through one
modem. When the modem is sending, it is obviously not receiving and many
times the users will enter a wrong phone number causing the Fax Console to
retry sending several times, and the incoming faxes are stalled (sometimes
for a very long time).
I searched, but couldn't find much information on Fax Console, so if I've
overlooked a possible resolution, please point me in the right direction.
I'm guessing at some possible solutions, but I don't know which would work
best, or which would be the easiest to implement.
1. Adding another modem for sending only. (Can the Fax Console utilize two
modems?)
2. Find a Third Party software. (Can anyone recommend one?)
3. Adjust the settings for sending/retrying outgoing faxes. (I've searched
but haven't found any type of setting for this. Is there one?)
Am I missing anything? I have also seen users accidentally put their own
fax number in the outgoing fax number field - essentially trying to send a
fax to themselves. I realize this an education issue, but I would have
thought the Fax Console software would recognize this and stop sending.
Instead, it locked the Fax Service up.
