Was finally able to launch profilemanager in both Thunderbird and Firefox.
Here, Thunderbird requires the -bin extension, Firefox does not
the EXACT lines in Terminal are
/Applications/Thunderbird.app/Contents/MacOS/thunderbird-bin -profilemanager
