In your Monday post which caused this subthread, there was a
discrepancy of an hour between your client-generated Date header and the
server-generated NNTP-Posting-Date header:

NNTP-Posting-Date: Mon, 10 Mar 2008 17:55:14 -0500
Date: Mon, 10 Mar 2008 17:56:10 -0600

Looking at the threading, the server's date was correct.

They match in all subsequent posts, so the problem no longer exists.
Thunderbird is still using the wrong offset, putting you in CST (or

It's correct on my local system and that's all that matters. What
happens after it leaves here is someone else's problem.

Not having touched anything since my first post, the header now shows:

NNTP-Posting-Date: Tue, 11 Mar 2008 16:12:48 -0500
Date: Tue, 11 Mar 2008 16:14:25 -0500

BTW: It took more than 24 hrs for COX to update the phone caller ID
time, so who knows. Time is only relative anyways ... :-)

What's really interesting is that I didn't do a thing, nothing.
