Are you talking about listserver subscriptions where when anyone on the
list sends an email to the list it goes to everyone on the list? If so,
those lists are subscribed to a specific email address. If you are
using a different email address at work from the one at home, you will
need to subscribe to the list using the home email address. Generally,
listservers have subscribe/unsubscribe information at the bottom of the
emails. If not, you can write to the list from the subscribed email
address and ask the "list mom", or list administrator if he/she has no
sense of humor and ask for instructions for subscribing to the list with
your home email address.
Another option is to set up an account in Thunderbird to check your work
email account.
I hope that's helpful.

I'm using Thunderbird 2.0.0.12 on my laptop, it's set up okay to do email
and newsgroups, but I can't for the life of me fathom out how to set it up
for mailing lists.
Can anyone please throw a bit of enlightenment my way.
Thanks

Okay, a bit more detail. Subscription to mailing lists I guess is what I
want.
On another computer system I am subscribed to a number of mailing lists,
and I just click on the download/fetch icon of my mail client app and my
mailing list posts are downloaded to the computer and debatched into the
mail/news read/write client.
Obviously all the subs are set up and active, but what I need to know is
how do I set up TB in a similar fashion so that when I click the
download/fetch icon, the mailing lists postings will be downloaded and
debatched to TB?
Thanks

Is that about mailing lists in a Thunderbird's Address Book or your
subscription to mailing lists?

Mmnnn!
Thanks for the input, appreciated.
I don't seem to be getting anywhere ATM though.
I work from home, I have a number of mail addresses, but one specific one
is used for all Newsgroup and Mailing List postings, regardless of which
computer I'm using.
Yes it is Listserver subscriptions, yes regardles of which computer I'm
using, an account dave@triffid exists.
What I what to know is where to I enter into TB the data that will enable
it to, log in and down/up load mailings related to...
For example: olympusdc@yahoogroups.com with whom I'm registered as
dave@triffid. ?
Cheers
