Windows Live Mail (Hotmail)

Windows Live Mail (Hotmail)

Hi all and sorry in advance if this is the wrong group.

I just got Thunderbird and am trying to configure it to access a Windlws
Live Mail account (formerly Hotmail). I'm not getting anywhere.

I've got Thunderbird 2.0.0.12
The POP, SMTP, and IMAP servers are running
I've got and installed the WebMail 1.3.1 and Hotmail 1.2.14 extensions

I think the account is set up. When I launch Thunderbird it shows all
servers running (POP, SMTP and IMAP). I get a set of status messages:

Host contacted
Sending login information
Downloading message 1 of 18

At this point nothing happens. The progress bar (?) at the bottom left
keeps advancing left to right, I get no error messages, and I got
nothing brought over.

Can anyone out there help me out?
