preventing lastModified update after login

preventing lastModified update after login
Fri, 01 Sep 2006 01:56:01 GMT
hi,

Is there a way to prevent the lastModified attribute on a user object from
getting updated after a user logs in/out? If not, can someone explain why
a login affects a change on the user object. I haven't been able to find
any info on this either documentation or via the alias.

Any pointers appreciated.

Mark

It means that one or more attributes are being updated at logout. An obvious
candidate is the "Network Address" attribute where NW should remove
the
entry added at the previous login. There is no way to prevent this that I
know of.

Oops - forgot to cover login. The "Network Address" attribute should
be
updated, the current contents of "Login Time" are moved to "Last
Login Time"
and the current time is written to "Login Time". None of this can be
prevented.
