Community Web Site

Community Web Site
Mon, 04 Feb 2008 16:46:05 +000
I have been asked to design a community web site. I currently use NF 9
to produce the web site. What I want to do is to add a page (or perhaps
more) to the existing web site where a user can log on and then add,
edit and delete his/her pages at will. The user MUST not be able to
access any pages that do not belong to him/her. My "static" pages are
to
remain totally under my control.

Will NF 9 allow me to achieve the above or is there some software that
will enable me to get the desired results?

Any help appreciated.

You can do it using PHP and a database, if you know how.

Try JOOMLA at http://www.joomla.org/

I hope this will work for you.

Thanks for your reply, Peter. I have downloaded JOOMLA, but, note that
it requires mySQL to run; sadly the server dos not support this
software. Do you know if JOOMLA will work without mySQL, with CSV files
or another type of database?

If you want Joomla and MySQL send me a mail and I'll see what I can do.
