New component problem - multiple news pages

When I place multiple news pages on my site, each page shows the list of 
articles properly and the "short intro" to the story along with the
links to 
the full story (i.e. read more...).  However, each "short story"
"read 
more..." link takes me to the same full story, which is the last one I 
posted, regardless of which news page I posted it on.

Very confusing. Does anyone know why this would happen?  Each news component 
has its own profile and its own database.  Everything works except the
"read 
more...." link which does what is described above. It seems like the links

generated are all pointing to the same story.
