Testing NOF 10

Testing NOF 10
Wed, 12 Mar 2008 10:46:31 -040
I'm just trying NO 10 to see if I want to upgrade from 9. I do like the
ability to customize and expend the various boxes, but how can I get the
site/page/assets/publish/preview tools to appear at the top of page view,
like they do in every other view except page view. I want to be able to
switch from page view to any other without having to click GO.
I read that there were many faults in 10 at the beginning, but is it now
sorted out properly?
I've been with NOF a long time, so others may understand this last question.
Is 11 on the way, so I don't need to spend my money on 10?

Roger,

Not sure about solving your problem. Are you using update #3? My NOF 10
has the site/page/assets/publish/preview toolbar when in page view. You
might right click on one of the toolbars and look at what is unchecked.

I just stopped using v10 and came back to v9 for now. v10 crashed and
trashed 3 of my small websites when I did a re-optimize. Customer support
confirmed that there was a problem with NOF, but they couldn't (or wouldn't)
tell me what was causing the crashes. All they said was that their product
is not perfect. I had another site that when I clicked the Publish button,
the FTP box would not display and the whole Page Design area would go blank.

For whatever its worth, so far there have not been any rumors of v11.
Update #4 of v10 is in beta, if that says anything.

Brian

Thanks Brian,
Someone solved it for me by going to Workspace, which is not on 9, and
choosing basic. I've had a love/hate relationship with NOF since 2, but
been unable to find an easier programme, since I don't know much html. I
must say though, I like the sizeable property boxes and the customizable
toolbars in 10. I get a lot of not responding in 9 anyway, and sometimes
quitting when I re-optimize.
