Bots filling in forms

Bots filling in forms
10 Apr 2008 20:26:18 -0600
Rather than making secure pages, anyone have a clever idea from keeping the
bots from filling in my forms with bogus text and creating unwanted email
responses.

Should I put the form on a page that is excluded from navigation and not live
link it? Or can that page still be harvested and filled out?

Bruno,

I use the FormM@iler script from DBMasters (free if you leave the branding
in - $20 to remove it).

It has a honeypot to catch spammers and a "sorta-captcha".

We get ZERO spam through our forms.

There is a NOF tutorial on it here:
http://www.suwebs.com/html/formmailer.html

and you can download it here:
http://www.dbmasters.net/index.php?id=4

It works!

Charles
