Alternative EDirectory and GroupWise Admin Technologies

Hi,

In the past I've written a few applications to perform user/container
administration for NDS and GroupWise objects using the ActiveX controls.

I hear that the developer support program has died and that the ActiveX
controls are no longer supported.

Can anyone recommend alternative technologies that provide similar
functionality?

At first glance the C#LDAP looks promising but I've heard its a bit flakey.

Furthermore how do you get developer support these days?

Our environment is currently NetWare 6.5, eDirectory 8.7.x, GroupWise 7
and  Windows XP clients.  (We're about to implement Novell Cluster
Services).

Given the choice of development languages I'd like to continue with C# or
VB.NET, 6 etc.
