HELP! SUSE Hard Drive Manual Installation C Compiler on NLD9

Help! 

I am trying to connect the SUSE First Look (BETA) HD to an NLD9
machine.  

Of course, the VMware Player can't be installed automatically and now I
have to do a manual installation. 

I do know that the libgcc (C compiler runtime library) Version 3.3.3-43.25
is installed.

The install script is asking me for the location of my C compiler
"make"
file. I'm clueless as to where this is located and don't know what to look
for.

I'd appreciate any help.
