Hello all,
I have been working help desk at a company that uses Novell 6.5 for
about 1.5 years now. I field every call, supporting over 300 users. I have
done everything from changing users passwords to rebuilding servers. I
became an MCP so that I could get a raise, and now I have found out that I
can get a raise if I become a CNA also. I have been through about 1/3 of
the TestOut CD for exam 050-677.
3 questions:
1. Is my experience and this 1 CD enough for me to pass the exam?
2. About what percentage should I be making on the practice exams to expect
to pass the CNA exam?
3. How much of the exam is just regular old do it in my sleep help desk
stuff and how much is the more complicated issues such as inherited rights,
etc?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

It is strongly recommended that you also review the official Novell Study
Kit for theoretical concepts, eDirectory design concepts and other issues
(NDPS printing setup, iPrint, Virtual Office, etc) that are not covered by
your help desk experience.

Networks and Netware are all about security, so *do* expect at least 33-40%
of the exam to cover such issues as file system security, eDirectory
security, login security, including rights calculation scenarios.
Also, note that not all questions count as equal score. Hence you can have
50 exam questions but do *not* calculate 16 points for each question (800 is
the top score on Novell exams). Some questions may count for more, and
others count for less.
Good Luck.

http://www.3wscertification.com/65CNAfacts.html might help a bit. Also
you might want to take a look at the Exam Cram 2 for this test. It has
helped a number of folks in similar situtations.
