| What is a good cert to get while waiting for NCE test? |

I'm anxious to take the NCE test - but since that's not out, what would
be a good cert to flesh out an emerging Linux skill base?
CLDA looks really good = I'm seriously thinking about that, does anyone
have any thoughts on this?
CLP is great - I'll be going after that once NCE is done, but it's just
too big to digest in the (hopefully) short period of time before NCE is
released.

What you might do is start with the CLA - it's a written exam based on
courses 3071 and 3072 (which are the first two in the CLP track as
well). This'll give you a good jump on both the NCE-ES and the CLP while
helping you validate your linux knowledge.

Hmmm, that does look good too. 75$ promo price.... ok, you talked me
into it. Hey Jim, two quick questions:
1. Do you know how long that test promo will last?
2. What do you mean by written test? It's not multi-choice/fill in the
blank/match icons/point to item questions like the older Novell tests?
Is there an example of what a question like that is?

I do not believe there is an end date for the $75 price as of yet. It
could end (not anytime soon, IMO), but I'll have to ask around to find
out what the plan is. I'll let you know when I get an answer.

Standard forms-based exam, like the CNE exams - as opposed to a practicum
exam (like the CLP, CLE, or NCE-ES certifications). :-)
