new CLP

I bought the CLP self kit and
1. I still have not recieved my email validation.
(requested it 5 times and my email box is empty.)
2. Isn't the system I loaded supposed to be registered?

Am I even in the right forum?

You are in the right place (for now) - let me see if I can find someone 
to help you out here - I'm not sure if the SSK is supposed to include a 
license or just the limited day eval license for pulling updates.

Hi Brian

Is this CLP 9 or CLP 10.

If it is 10 the latest you get 16 days of support without an activation 
key. Just connect to the Customer Centre during the install. But be 
prepared to wait some whilst those updates come down. You have about 9 
months worth to collect.

When studying for the CLP it is often best to work on unpatched machines 
as functionality does change with updated software versions. For 
complete fairness the parcaticum exams are based on the code that is 
shipped with the Student Kits for Instructor Led training and and the 
SSK for self study. That is to say unpatched. There are significant 
changes to the layout of menu items in yast, the control centre and 
computer menu for you to confused in labs that no longer work as 
instructed in the book  .

By all means patch your servers but also do you main study on servers
