I find that surprising. I have takedn the clp10 and the cle10 and both 
were gnome. Kde is not an objective for the exam nor is taught in the 
courses or self study. Additionally my whole traing team has taken both

I took my CLP10 in February and it was KDE and I was rather irritated by
that because like you say, everything was Gnome based in the class I
attended and all the study material. Maybe I got an early version or
something? My advice, just be familiar with doing everything from the
terminal then it won't really matter.
