Where does it say how to set the quota for all users? I know that
aquota.user must be set in the highest directory.
also
It says in the book that if you put a @ in front of a fqdn in the
syslog.conf file it sends the data of that particular alert to that
computer. I set it up per instruction but I can't seem to log the event in
a seperate sles 9 server. Is this possible?

maybe use a group quota for multiple users

In regards to the quotas:
Yes, the aquota.user file is placed at the root of a partition (highest
level).
When setting quotas for all users of a system, I set a group quota for
the users groups, and ensure that all users of my SLES server are
members of that group which is a default during user creation.
So in this case, aquota.group will be at the root of the partition
where you want to have your group quota.
