So your point is to accept the FORCED upgrade to whatever is after
Vista... fine.... if that comes...

That's entirely different than holding onto XP.  In either case,
M$ is forcing you forward.

I'll stand behind my "resistance if futile". Only because
Microsoft stands to lose about a katrillion times more than
what was at stake with Me.

That's assuming that Windows 7 is a good product.  As bad as Vista is
there is absolutely no way Microsoft can afford to put out a second
release equally as bad.  There's already a decent number of people looking
into Mac and Linux because of how bad Vista is.  Putting out a second
release equally as bad would significantly accelerate the defections.

No, it's not different.  Eventually people have to move forward, but right
now there is no good option to which to move.  If the choice is XP or
Vista, people have spoken that the choice is XP.

Yes, that is true for Steve & Bill and the rest of them.  Resistance is
futile.  People will continue to use XP.
