Is there a way to get users from AD from NDS with Windows 2003 and Edir
8.6 ? We are moving away from Novell because of cost.

Identity Manager should do the trick.
If you own NetWare 6.0+ you get the IDM that will connect AD/NDS and
synchronize user IDs and passwords.

I'm curious.. but, cost?? If you think Netware/eDirectory is more
expensive than Windows you should fire your account manager!
If I were to move away from Netware/Linux servers to Windows servers in my
University (70,000+ users), not only would my CAL costs go through the
roof, but I'd need twice as many servers to cope with the load!
I've given away a few free consulting days to companies and demo'd
simulated loads on workgroup services (Netware/Linux vs. Windows, if you
like) and said to the companies that if I can't prove that their migration
to Windows won't put at least a +50% dent in their annual IT budget
(software, hardware, support, staff), my time is for free.
All I'll say is that I've never worked a day for nothing, and I get lots
of Christmas cards.

One of my client K12s were considering a move to MS.
They do everything with 6 servers. 3 File/print/email servers, one
Rsync, one ZPM, one AV server (yup last 2 are Win2k3).
If they moved to all MS it would take 17 servers (as per design from my
offices MS guru).
The school choked on needed in buying 12 new servers (one would not
hack the new needs). I think they decided to luv the Novell SLA.
