Help does anyone know what files in sys on a novell 6.5 sp 4
server can be removed to make more space.
Files like readme or logs etc.

A couple of quick wins:
- any NW65SPx directory used for SP installastions
- any BACKSPx directory in SYSTEM that was used for backing up files for
an SP install
- any NPS backup directory under TOMCAT\4 that might have been created if
you ever did an iManager upgrade
- unused pritner drivers in case you have the NDPS directory on SYS:
(where it is by default). You can especially win a lot of space by
removing all the directies for obsolete OSes (win3x, win95, NT4 or
whatever OS you no longer use).

Some directories you could move to another volume:
sys:\public\win32
sys:\public\mgmt
If you have other servers directories you only need on one server:
sys:\public\dnsdhcp
Directories you probably do not need:
sys:\public\winnt
Other tips:
If you have backups running on that server prune the log/tape history
files. You can always reimport them if needed.
If you have GroupWise on this server If the Software Distribution
Directory is on SYS move it and then change the SDD setting to point to
the new location.
