| NDK tar.gz has wrong line edings |
 |

Hi,
it was here mentioned already in the past, but unfortunately its still not
fixed with current NDK: the offered tar.gz archives contain all files with
DOS crlf line edings instead of Unix lf line endings; and updating then means
all the time to convert all *.h and *.imp files...., argh!
Can we please fix that finally with the next release?
BTW. it should be possible to switch just one time, and from then ship only
lf line endings even in the zip archives since AFAICT all DOSish NLM
compilers can properly deal with lf files too.
thanks, Günter.

Hello Guenter,
I am afraid not all versions of Watcom C/C++ can properly handle that.

Use your ftp client to switch line endings? ;-}
I think Beyond Compare can handle that, also, and maybe some of the newer
diff tools on lunix, er, linux.

No, its not that annoying cleaning product in the infomercial... its
actually a pretty nifty anything to anything conversion tool with batch
capability. Kaboom is your friend!

oh, I tested only with latest OpenWatcom, and it seemed to handle properly...
then we need to cotinue shipping both versions, or, if we cant get the tar.gz
fixed its pretty much useless to offer it at all, and wasted resource.
