this may be the wrong place to ask, so please point me in the right direction if
i'm wrong.
I'm trying to find a version of phpMyAdmin that will work with a new NW6.5.5
server. I have 2.5.6 running perfectly on a server with the exact same patch
levels, but I can't find anything that will run on this newly built server.
2.9.0.2 abends the server. my original version of 2.5.6 throws this server into
a continuous loop displaying the following:
Function Free received invalid pointer 0xhex
This happens at the moment that I login as root. |

sounds like you have updated MySQL but forgot the PHP piece....

I built from the NW65 SP5 overlay disks, so that would be Novell then. |

no, then you _should_ be ok....
however now we know definitely that a couple of things were wrong with SP5,
so I'd suggest that you do a couple of updates, and then try again - if the
abend condition then still persinsts you can perhaps try a PHP build from me;
but first please try these:

and report back here what you get....
