greetings everybody
long story short...
at work here we have a linux suse server with a linux suse firewall pc
both are command version's and i added a specific port(like
yahoo,,,torrents download....etc) i did put the rule and restarted the
squid service but it didnt work i tried it many times but still the same.
some poeple adviced me to upgrade the squid server i did download &
install the upgrading package but sadly it keeps giving me the old version.
what shall i do??

Well, this is not really the place to solve technical issues on Linux
products. I suggest dependig on what exact Linux version you are using,
you ask in either of the following 2 forums:
novell.support.sles.networking
opensuse.org.suse-linux.support.networking
