Hi folks,
If you are interested in ordering the tokens feel free to send me an e-mail
at the following address.
fccc@mts.net (please put "Token Order" in the subject line)
Please state which designs you are interested in and the quantity. Include
your return mailing address as well.
The silver pieces are C$12 each and the Bimetals are C$8 each, plus postage.
(US$1=C$1, UK£1=C$2)
Forms of Payment I can accept:
I can accept US personal cheques, US cash sent at your risk, International
US postal money orders, Western Union Money orders, UK/Scots Pounds (Unc BoS
new issue would be great), plus I'd be willing to consider other currencies.
I have to get a quote on the cost of postage as things have changed since
the last time I sent out my tokens.
Thanks for your interest,
Kyle.

Do you make all your pieces the same size, regardless of metal used? If
so, what is that size, and how about the fineness of the silver tokens?
Thanks,
Bruce

Hi Bruce,
I try to keep my pieces as close to a standard size and metal content as
possible. So far I have the following pieces and their standards which I've
set.
$8 bimetal approx 24 to 26mm in diameter, and 2.5 to 3mm thick. There is a
considerable variation in the bimetal sizes and thickness due to different
experimentations and the number of times the piece was struck.
$12 silver pieces are all made from .925 silver (some issues I used .999+)
and weigh approximately 4.5g the diameter is usually 20 to 22mm
2005 $200 gold piece (mintage of 7 pieces) was made from .917 Gold / .083
copper and weighed approx 6.7 to 6.8g (1/5th Troy Oz Pure Gold) with a
diameter of 22mm
The current issue $240 gold piece (Mintage of 3 pieces so far) was made from
.9999 Au and weighs 6.2g (1/5th troy Oz Au) obverse features the standard
Atlas die same as the silver series and the reverse has an Athean Owl
inspired design (have to make another, the last one sold last week).
plans are in the works for a:
17g .999+ Silver $48 token in the size and style of a Greek Tetradrachm,
20g silver / gold $120 piece with an overall diameter of approx 30 mm,
1/10th Oz gold center (5.3g 14k Au), and a 15g .925 Silver ring.
a large Brass or Yellow Bronze Sestertius sized piece 35+ mm
and a copper As sized piece of about 25 mm
Hope this helps,
Kyle.

Very productive. I'm sure we'd all like a look at that Athenian Owl
