The filing of the reverse rim at 5:00 will keep it out of any respected

This dime is bright silver. But on the reverse there's a nick on the I and
the rim. Would this grade out or would it be bagged?

That's what I was afraid of. Still,for twenty bucks it's a steal I think.
It's about the nicest Barber anything I've ever seen except for those dings.
What do you suppose happened to it?some kind of coin counter or something?

No, deliberately filed, perhaps to remove an unsightly rim ding.

I had similar questions about the lack of details on the obverse.  To me it
looked XF 
at best, and cleaned besides.
