Mystery Coins - what are they?

Mystery Coins - what are they?
Thu, 21 Feb 2008 10:23:43 -080
I was cleaning out an old box of coins and found these. I suspect I
picked them up in Hong Kong, but can't remember anything about them.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the help so far. I should have mentioned that they are quite
large, 1.875" in diameter. I probably got them in either Hong Kong or
Bali. I would often go to coin shops when visiting foreign countries
and pick up inexpensive souvenirs. I had totally forgotten about these
until I unearthed them this morning.

I don't know anything about those type coins but I assumed they (at least
the one with dragons) are good luck pieces.
looks good what ever they are.

Probably not coins. Besides they are upside down. The first has the Tai
Ching trigrams with the name of each on the reverse.

The first coin obverse has right to left the characters "tung pao" or

official money, found on cash type coins. The upper and lower characters are
the name of whomever made it official, emperor, province, city etc. But I've
run out of help from the Standard Catalog of World Coins.
