Can anyone identify the attached coin please.
One side has a symmetrical pattern.
The other has an animal with either a head in a halo(?) above , or
a small head beneath the halo.
There are symbols or letters around the edge that I cannot interpret.
The coin/token is about 0.5 to 0.7mm thick and of a yellow colour.
The object was found in my garden in Exeter, Devon, England
and was the only one, no other objects found after several years digging
the plot.
Any help gratefully received. Many thanks

Not my strongest area of expertise, but i believe that this is jeton
(counter/ tally token) manufactured in Nuremberg, Germany by Hans
Krauwinkel.
It has (in my humble opinion) little intrinsic monetary value in such
poor condition.
These and similar pieces were used in performing arithmetic type
calculations on a checker type board before the advent of our current
day arithmetic and mathematices. It is a fascinating subject area within
numismatics. It's also where the term `Chancellor of the Exchequer'
originates.
