Automatic A4/Letter resize at printing

Does Open Office have the option to set an automatic resize from A4 to 
Letter size documents similar/ same to MS Office? In MS Office it part of 
the Options/ Print and it makes it a no extra input task to print an A4 
size document on letter size paper. Just click print...no different to 
printing a Letter size Doc.
In Open Office (all versions up to 2.3) I cannot find this function/ 
setting and whenever I have an A4 document I have to change the Page size 
in the Printer options at printing before it does the resize.
What is a one click operation in MS Word, becomes a 7 click operation in 
Open Office with at least one printer error that needs to be cleared as 
the first attempt to print the document (not knowing it was A4 formatted) 
jams the printer as it reports not having A4 paper loaded...
