| Change 'My Documents' path for all users. |

Can someone explain to me how to change the 'My Documents' path for all
users? I've got as far as working out that it may have something to do
with /blah/share/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/Paths.xcu but now
I'm stuck.
The 'My Documents' path defaults to ~/Documents which is irritating as
my users do not have that directory. I'd like to set the 'My Documents'
path to their home directory instead.
thanks,
mike

Have you tried redirecting the location of the "My Documents" folder
using Group Policy?

Nope. Isn't that a Windows thing? I'm using Linux and I'm not aware of
having access to anything called Group Policy.

Turns out OpenOffice was setting the 'My Documents' path to the output
of 'kde-config --userpath document' which on SLED10 points to
/home/username/Documents. So I found where that was being set (there is
a line starting Documents= in opt/kde3/share/config/kdeglobals) and
disabled it so the output of 'kde-config --userpath document' is now
just /home/username. This has sorted out the problem at least for KDE
users. No idea if the problem exists under Gnome still, I never checked
if it existed to start with. Our machines default to KDE so not really
interested in what happens under Gnome :)
