Have you tried first saving the document in the OO.o format and
then trying to print it?

Has anyone else experienced that some imported Word documents will not
print from OOO Writer? Instead the error message "Could not start
printer. Please check your printer configuration" is displayed. (There
is nothing wrong with my printer configuration.) This only happens with
some Word documents, others print without hesitation, but I have yet to
identify what critical factor determines whether or not the document
prints. Does anyone know what the problem is and whether there is a fix?

I will remember that this could happen when document format and format set
in printer is not the same. I suggest you check that.

Yes I have, and it doesn't help.

I have checked page size (A4 in the original Word documents, A4 as
default in OOo Writer, and on all my printers), so it's clearly nothing
as simple as that. What other formatting might have an effect?
