| OpenOffice 2.4b1 Install |

I installed OpenOffice 2.4b1 cleanly after removing version 2. I also
re-installed OOOWPS 1.01. A couple of issues:
1. The README says:
"QUICKSTART: quickstart has been implemented eComStation and OS/2; when
enabled in
OOo option dialogs, a shadow of your quickstart WPS icon object will be
created in the startup folder."
I could not find this option in the option dialogs. I made a shadow
manually. Can anyone tell me exactly where (if) this option is?
2. The README says:
"- during installation a template folder is created which holds a large
number
of templates which can be used as a base for OpenOffice.org documents."
No template folder was created in the OpenOffice desktop folder. I created
a shadow manually.
3. Templates can not be used. When I drag one to the desktop, then
double-click on it, I get a notice:
"OOoWPS
Support agreement for OpenOffice.org for eComStation and OS/2 is required
in order to open, view or print this document."
This may be related to...
4. The README says:
"- WPS integration package for OpenOffice.org 2.0 for eComStation and
OS/2:
- Extends the WPS data file class to recognize OpenOffice.org document
files
- Integrated support for WPS-Wizard hint and folder info area
- Rexx hooks for reading document properties
To enable this package for OpenOffice.org 2.4b1, you need to install the
OOoWPS101.WPI package (if not already installed) and run
?:\OpenOffice.2.4\program\ooodoc.cmd
This script will activate the WPS integration for this release of
OpenOffice.org 2.4b1 and remove it from 2.0.4."
There is no 'ooodoc.cmd' file anywhere on my system after install.
I have uninstalled and re-installed 3 times with the same results. Does
anyone else see these issues?

It does here, just make sure to install the integration package into the OOo
program directory. See http://24.84.49.11/index.php?page=ooo-wps-integration
for details (old info for version 1.00 apply here ;o)

Not on my version of 2.4b1.... nowhere on that page.

I do not have 2.04 installed...

Since I don't have 2.04 installed, I guess OOoWPS doesn't work at all....
nor do templates.

Yes hopefully - it is a beta after all....

1. Check Load OOo-dev under Options>OOo-dev memory
2. Near as I can tell the template folder was created in the 2.04 folder.
3. Templates appear to work as advertised, but because of the lack of WPS
integration they open 2.04. The native OOo template function works as it
should.
4. The failure to include ooodoc.cmd is the reason for 3 and is annoying
since OOOWPS 1.01 will not permit one to declare the OOo-dev folder. I
assume we wil see an update OOoWPS or the ooodoc.cmd shortly.

Further to my previous answer, until the WPS issue of 4 is resolved, the
only quick start which will load is that for 2.04. This prevents OOo-dev
from running unless one kills the quick starter.
