| OpenSSH accessing remote servers |

At the moment OpenSSH is server-centric in that you need to run OpenSSH
on the servers where users need secure access to their files.
Are there any plans to enable OpenSSH to run on a single server and then
access files on remote servers along the lines of Netstorage, FTP,
Apache, etc. ?
We're very interested in using OpenSSH, specifically the SFTP part (as
opposed to SSH/SCP) to provide students with secure access to their
filespace from remote locations (bedroom stations & outside the
University) but we do not want to have to run OpenSSH on each of our
home servers (we currently have 4 with users split across them).
Many thanks,

not the solution to your question; but just an idea: perhaps you can use
WebDAV over https?
Guenter.

No, it does not. nwftpd.nlm supports ftps which is something totally
different.

I'll look into it but it's really SFTP that we want to use (as this is
what is used to access other Unix systems).
