| Side scrolling, local page viewing, and zooming in 9841 |

Sorry if this is slightly off topic but I installed Safari 3.1 yesterday
and noticed that virtual side-scrolling from my touchpad doesn't work even
though vertical scrolling does. At first I assumed it was a bug in Safari
but I've just upgraded Opera 9.5 to build 9841 and suddenly it's stopped
side scrolling too. Is this just a coincidence and 9841 has its own
scrolling bug, or has Safari done something to my system (XP Home, SP2)
and newly installed programs will now also have problem? 9815 scrolled
fine. Anyone else unable to side scroll via a touchpad with Safari 3.1?
Also, my keyboard is one of those where the minus key is to the right of
0, and the next key along is Equals. To get a plus sign you have to hold
shift and press the equals key. Holding Ctrl whilst pressing this key does
not zoom in with Opera even though it enlarges text in Firefox and Safari,
and zooms in on Adobe Premier storyboards. Ctrl+Shift+Equals doesn't help
in Opera either. Since the traditional opera zoom keys (7, 8, 9 and 0)
have been removed by default in the new Web 2.0-friendly Opera 9.5, it's
more of a problem because I can only readily zoom out or reset, so could
this be fixed?
Another problem I'm seeing is that some local pages are displayed without
the CSS being applied, or will display correctly the first time, but if
you try to reload then you're presented with a dialogue asking what you
want to do with the 'download'. I haven't done a lot of testing but I
think it might happen only on pages that contain tables. Pages without
them can be reloaded fine.
By the way, Safari also does text-shadow, but in my opinion Opera's looks
